PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN DAMASCUS HOLDS OVERSEAS FILIPINO
REINTEGRATION PROGRAM WEBINAR IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PHILIPPINE
EMBASSY IN BEIRUT AND THE OVERSEAS FILIPINO BANK (OFBANK)

DAMASCUS, Syria- As part of the Philippine Embassy’s celebration of the National Women’s Month this March, Damascus PE in collaboration with Beirut PE and the Overseas Filipino Bank (OFBank) of the Landbank of the Philippines, held the second financial awareness webinar entitled Overseas Filipino Reintegration Program on 21 March 2021 via Zoom and Facebook Live, which was attended by the wards of the Filipino Workers Resource Center (FWRC), as well as Filipino Community members in Syria and Lebanon. Mr. Gerald T. Heriales, Overseas Representative Office for Middle East Region of the OFBank served as the Resource Person for the event.

The Webinar focused on other programs that OFs may avail with OFBank while earning abroad and upon their return to the Philippines, particularly the loan service. Mr. Heriales also entertained questions after his presentation.

Chargée d’affaires, a.i. Vida Soraya S. Verzosa closed the Webinar with a message on the importance of technology in providing financial awareness to OFs. She also thanked Mr. Heriales for explaining other OFW reintegration programs when they wish to return to the Philippines.
